Agree that for most people, it is more interesting to know what it takes to get to a good level, as apposed to get to a optimal outcome. Very few people have the time or interest to get at optimal levels.. in life, we are probably not optimal at anything, whether it be exercise or playing the guitar or our job. So nice to know more about what it takes to improve significantly. Thanks for sharing

Right, and I think the concept of the minimum effective dose for resistance training is especially useful considering that some people might choose not to resistance train at all if they believe that they have to spend a lot of time and energy to get meaningful results.

In other words, since the minimum effective dose is quite low by most people’s standards, it can act as a gateway to convince people who aren’t resistance training at all to resistance train some.

And, to me, considering the benefits that come from even the minimum effective dose of resistance training, I think this makes this approach valuable.
