In this episode of the Talking Studies Series, I cover a fairly hot topic: GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs), the popular weight-loss drugs.
Specifically, I cover a study that tested exercise, liraglutide (a GLP-RA), and liraglutide plus exercise as interventions for maintaining weight-loss. And, I zero in on how both the original liraglutide-free weight-loss period and the different interventions during the maintenance phase impacted lean mass—a proxy for muscle mass.
